In order to get smilies and other icons to use for your email/AIM, you must send yourself an email to your sidekick phone, containing the data below.

Past the data into an email, and send it to your Tmail (ex: Johnjohnson@tmail.com), which comes with the Sidekick plan.
Once you get the email: Go to message. Settings button. Go to Forward. When you hit it now, you can scroll down and highlight copy the message.
(Highlight: Hold shift and use track ball to highlight it.) Now hold the settings button. Press C to copy an icon (one at a time). Click out with the menu button. Go to Settings. Go down to AutoText. Settings. New Rule. Box 1: enter any code name (ex: a1), then track ball to box 2: becomes. Hold settings button and press v to paste it (the icon). Hit done.
So basically every time you make a new rule you name it what you want, and past the given icon in Box 2.
Now in aim you can enter the code name you gave for the icon you want, and hit space bar to see the icon.
